NAT configuration Problems

Ok, quick run down of my setup

1 Domain controller
6 Domain Computers
1 NAT computer

domain controller handles DNS and DHCP

NAT box connects using ISDN. I am unable to browse the internet with the NAT box connected, services which rely on IP address's (Messenger, Roger Wilco)work, any ideas?

I have set the default gateway and first DNS server to look at the NAT box.

Thanks in advance.

it doesn't matter Cama, as long as the boxes on the network either have a) the nat box as DG or b) have a router as their DG that has the nat box as it's DG etc.

KF: your DNS is failing. look at your DNS server's logs to see what you can see. perhaps reconfigure it as a caching-only DNS server that forwards uncached requests to a 'real' DNS server somewhere on the internet.

edit: if you're running a firewall [and you are, aren't you?] you may have to specifically open udp#53. I had to on mine.

Hiya TDC, suddenly realised, NAT box was looking to internal server for DNS, not itself. Changed this and all working :D

Cheers guys
