Probably, there's always a lull when the 'next big thing' MMO comes out. Some people leave, some people leave - realise they don't like the new MMO and come back, some people stay.

But yes, it's most likley an effort to get new customers (there hadn't been a whole lot of whine about Catacombs, so we can either assume all the whiners have finally put their money where their mouth is and left, or it's not actually a bad expansion )

Just makesure the friends you introduce to darkageoflagalot don`t owe you money, have borrowed anything belonging to you or know any dark secrets once they become ex friends due to their wasting of cash

Consider this equation.

1 seasoned player leaving in most cases means 2 accounts closed. (BB as well)

1 new player joining often means only 1 account getting opened since most ppl will want to try out the game first.

So in the short term, 1 new player might not equal 1 seasoned player in terms of cash flow.

Might not be right or scientific, just a thought...
