Mythics new char transfer ability.

In short Mythic is announcing the arrival of a new service on the 27th April destined for the US players of Dark Age of Camelot : the possibility to transfer up to 4 characters from one account to another on a specific server.
This service is aimed at people who have begun playing the game using the account of a spouse/partner/parent and who wish to be able to play with them at the same time without having to give up the characters they have spent so long working on.

As far as we are concerned, we can tell you now that we will be launching the same kind of service for the EU servers. We are currently working on the procedures and modalities that need to be put into place and we will keep you up to date as soon as we have more information regarding this issue.

Does this mean u can copy a lvl 50 from your mainacc and insert on a new acc? therefore for free adding /level. And also making PL even easier

Yes. In order to perform the character transfer process, you will need to purchase a new game client that has no characters stored on it and is no older then 30 days from account activation. This new account must have the same expansions activated on it as the original account

$40 + 30 odd quid for new account (needs to be less then 30 days old = need to buy a new one) + SI and toa assuming you have them.. certainly not coming cheap

yes they do dont they? was in DF a few days ago with my thane and some lvl 50 shammy casted piety buff on me and said it WAS working..... /shrug

love ppl that buys a account and dont have a clue what they are supposed to do.. especially those that run around svasud asking where uppland relic keep are (happend 4 times on last RR on us) and no they were not PL noobs. they were all RR5+ i looked them up on duskwave

This is going to cause a rise in the number of bots and thats about it.

The benefit to multiple people sharing an account is marginal at best.

I know, seriously tho, kinda sucks when you see some high rr dude not playing as the class should be, I look up to them, thinking "they know their stuff with all that rp", But could also be just some friend or family playing too, you never know

My hun plays mine sometimes, hasn't a clue, but plays alright, knows the basics and thats what mainly counts ;P

GOA:
DAoC account is personal and individual. You cannot open an account in the name of a company, an association or any other legal entity without express prior written consent from GOA. You are also not entitled to give, sell, lease, lend or exchange your account under any circumstances.

So.. this service is aimed at those who lend their account to their mates, so they can play.. breaking GOA's CoC?..

I'd much prefer to transfer characters between servers than to new accounts. This is just to help out the professional PLers and ebayers.

that's how much the US will charge for it. GOA might do it differently... who knows... (tho I agree, 40€ would seem appropriate as it's almost 1$ to 1€)
