Not sure yet, but my zerk caps at 450-500 i think with 5.3 sword unstyled, that skald there is hitting 774+286 unstyled on a target which is very high for a skald, i am not sure if this stacks with styled damage though, still quite high damage for someone who has high quickness.

Already do but think i will have aug str 5 instead(48 str) :p

Never the less forgot to mention casters are going to like frontiers, with master of magery 5 you can have 28% more passive magic damage Oo

and to think wen i played mystik i thought the extra crit chance RA rocked :p would like to see pbaoe damage with that ra in frontiers then.

Hehe some casters have got 900-1k damage without crits(nukes not bolts) with master of magery 5 in frontiers. :eek6:

lol thats just silly..if they do that and cast with capped speed etc with all this toa crap at like 1-1.5sec per spell..cud take down anyone before they in range to do a thing.

It's getting sick indeed, as of today, it is possible to hit the 700 mark on a baseline nuke (179 delve) up to 860 or so on a spec nuke (219 delve). Not easy to achieve mind you, it's caps with MoM5, 9% passive (tartaros + nailah) and 5% active dmg increase from artifacts, and hitting for cap is not something your average caster can do. Still, there are people out there dishing out that kind of damage, either out of resist piercing (which piles up quick in a group with traldor/zahur/cloudsong on several characters), buffbotted acuity, power relics and no resist buffs on opponents (think dark runie or light hibbies against most albs or body sorc or wind theu against most mids). Failing the requirements, especially the power relic/lack of resist buffs bit, debuffing can allow for cap damage as well.

Definitively not talking about your average caster here, takes RR8+ to reasonably expect a caster to have the usual MoC/MCL/Purge + MoM5, lot of PvE whoring for all the artifacts, and you need a dedicated group, but it's doable and there *are* casters out there who will deal close to that kind of damage soon enough, provided some don't already (haven't been in emain lately, so I wouldn't know really).

With the new MoM at 28%, it's going to be 780 dmg on a baseline nuke and 950 on best spec nukes, with more crits on top of that with the new WP ... Can't even imagine how much PBAE is going to hit for.

Mind you, the speed at which melee classes take down casters is just as insane. Without a high damage output, casters are just gimps with a stick getting farmed by savages for RPs.

The silly thing is at the other end of the sprectrum, you have low RR casters with no artifacts, no buffbot, no debuff, no power relics, going against 40-50% resists and nuking for completely laughable damage (like barely above 200 for base nuke against 50% resists, and maybe barely 300 on a spec nuke vs 40% resists).

Even more silly is how casters have been asking forever for the interrupt system to be fixed and reworked, power consumption/regeneration to be looked at, and the resist buffs at least normalized (can't balance anything when some players are running around with 26% resists to a given damage type, and 50%+ to another), yet Mythic keeps boosting the damage output of those who can cope with the PvE time sinks and can meet requirements such as high RR, buffbots, 'optimized' group setups, right damage type etc, and at the same time they nerf the RAs (MoC, MCL and Raging Power)
that at least used to alleviate some of the issues, and they keep adding more ways to disable casters (instant abilities that interrupts, AE MLs etc). Completely the opposite of what's good for the game.

Can't even say how much I find the whole bodyguard thing silly also, but I guess that's for another thread.

Best thing they could do for this game is a 75% reduction in all rvr damage.

I look forward for beating on a mid group with 3-4 healers for 1 week to kill them

Gotta be better that 1 second though:/

Chars are dying before the client screen has even registered they are in combat.
