Thinking about getting Myst for pocket pc. Looks really good. Graphic adventure game thats challenging and big enough to keep me occupied for many commutes into work.

I've never played it on the PC.

My parents are obsessed with Myst. I've helped them on parts of it, and although its not my sort of thing I'd say its probably enough to keep you entertained for a bus/train journey.

The first two myst games, as outlander said, were fixed picture point and click adventures. Myst 3 was a bit more 3D but still point and click. The last one(Myst IV: revelations or something) was completely 3D and seemed alot better - still point and click based, but it did feel alot less "static".

Some interesting puzzles in those games though :)

EDIT: ah just saw I'd misread your question. Myst 1 was ok but a little "static", probably ok to keep you entertained on a journey like I said but in places the first one was a tad boring if i remember right :) interesting puzzles but less "fluff" in there than the later games.

I really enjoyed it for something that's a totally different change of pace/style of playing to RTS or FPFs or RPGs.

There is a nice story around which the stuff revolves, the graphics are incredible, certainly in Myst III which was the one I started with, and they do exercise your brain cells somewhat :)

Myst 1 was awesome (for that time). It´s a pretty nice adventure with couple of good riddles to solve. Problem is - as always - that there´s absolutely no replay value because once you know the answer to a puzzle, it´s dull to play it again. If you´re into solving puzzles, then it´s definitely worth a try.
