Sorry if I'm being inordinately thick, but is there any difference between the v1 and v3 Intellimouse Explorer, and how can I tell which one I'm buying, as most websites don't give a version number?

Heh i have both Versions..

v1 is a huge Mouse, it takes up your whole hand
v3 is nice and comfortable and it veryb easy to control

Oh, you could also check the Bottom of the Mouse, Where it says

"Intellimouse Explorer USB / PS2" etc <- Thats the v1
"Intellimouse Explorer v3 USB / PS2" etc <- Thats V3

v1 = big huge fecker with low scan rate
v2 = same layout just better scan rate
v3 = better design plus much better scan rate (it very rarely skips at all)

Its a shame cos I really like the feel of the Wireless Intellimouse Explorer, but the wireless response is so shit its hard to control :(

I'll have to try one of these new fangled Bluetooth MS mice that they are gonna be doing for xmas

Can I just mention that I'm pleased Fatbusinessman posted 'myriad Intellimice' as opposed to myriad of, which is such a common mistake.

;)
