Only gonna give 5 as my other 5 will prolly be picked up by other people.

Mike Patton definitely, just for the amazing versatility he posseses.

Daniel Bedingfield; whilst I've not actually heard his album, his voice on the last single is frankly amazing (fuck all you playa hatas)

Matt Johnson; doubt any of you younger people will know him seeing as he takes 8 years between albums, nevertheless as lead singer of TheThe he is exceptional.

Chino Moreno; amazing range going from sounding sweet to going through a stomp box.

Jonathan Davis; whilst not a fan of Korn per say, Jonathan's voice is another one of those that manages to sound like it's being dragged through a distortion box and then switch straight over to normal singing all whilst singing in key.

Cant disagree with much added to that lot, wouldnt mind putting down Eric Clapton though.

Never really rated him, heard some unplugged acoustic stuff and hes got such an excellent voice live. Its a real bluesy sound then suddenly your up tempo swing/jazz. Some real toe-tapping stuff and he does it well

I'll lose any credibility I gained by mentioning Mike Patton by also mentioning Bono. Take the piss out of him for being an arrogant cunt all you want, but he has a fantastic and whats more distinctive voice.

I agree with you Bods, more so his older work rather than the newer stuff(Unforgettable Fire etc).

I can't believe I'm going to say this but I agree with Scooba about Daniel Bedingfield, he was on TOTP last night singing live and he truly has a great voice.

God help me if Samm or Lester reads this:(

Might aswell do my whole top 10. I might get bored and only come up with 7 or 8. Who knows? That's just the way the jobbie splatters tbh.

  • Mike Patton - obviously
  • Bono - ditto
  • John McCrea of Cake - Listen to The Distance or Short Skirt, Long Jacket
  • Rob Dougan - sounds amazing on One and The Same and Left Me for Dead. Ignoring one or two Chris Rea moments, he's pretty damn good
  • Liam and Noel Gallagher - Liam is one of the best rock vocalists ever like it or not. And Noel ain't half bad either.
  • Dexter Holland of The Offspring - Only seems to know how to do one voice but it aint half distinctive.
  • Bille Joe from Green Day - ditto.
  • Scott Stapp - I just like Creed ok?
  • Huey from the Fun Loving Criminals - everything he sings drips with cool.
  • 3D from Massive Attack - just flat out rocks
  • David Hasselhoff. Allegedly.
  • And last but not least, Elvis. Probably the greatest voice mankind will ever know.

Ok so that's eleven (spot the one where I wasn't being serious"!!!!!). Really am quite glad I left George Michael out.

Completely agree about Liam Gallagher. Personal I think Noel is quite is quite average, maybe at the Oasis peak... his backing vocals on the last Oasis album was poor - particular when they've played live. Having said that, his singing on Force Of Nature was full of swagger...

... it probably comes down to what side of bed he gets out of.
