after the Hib stealth world test, and the big whine....
As you all know I have played Balthasar for some days now,
i wanted to try a good ns so i can see the other side of stealth rvr. I saw some things, i ‘ve read the Faravids post, i made some thinking, and i want to share my thoughts with you all here, whiners or no.
- I will start by saying that RvR isn’t always the same, DAOC is a game that changes after each patch and that’s a factor that we all must consider.
- So with current RvR situation, imho, none can solo and 'actually' have fun ! So if you go solo expect to be zerged. Don’t whine after this happens. Its just natural.
- Main RvR area is emain, that's cause mid frontier is to much white and peoples eyes cant stand it for long, and alb frontier surface sucks big time. That creates a problem for Hib stealthers.
- Hibs stealthers have huge disadvantages compared to albs and mids. Their numbers are lower. They have to walk for 10 minutes back to emain being exposed by running unstealth all the way there. ( i feel bad for camping breifine so many times ).
I 've seen them mostly run in solo duo while albs and mids run duo trio at least.
- Ns go rvr without having a buffbot is a joke.
- Ns before RR5 is not good enough but can perform in rvr if having a buffbot. imo RR8 is a good point for Ns's to start having the proper Ra's.
- I don’t think infils are overpowered but yes they have some advantage vs low RR ns. sb's on the other hand Have better damage output and more HP's, i think Mythic have tried good to equalize these 3 classes, i haven’t ever played SB though but still can see that they can perform very good . ( if some sb want to have 2-3 days account swap msg me ).
- Minstrels. That’s the bad news. Albs have 3 stealth classes and mids/hibs only 2. Unfair no doubt ! Even more when this one class can mezz/insta stun/ae mezz/SPEED/SOS/IP/WEAR chain !. Mythic should have given mids/hibs some 3rd stealth class as well.
- zergs. Infils zerging, sb's zerging, ns rarely zerging.
In the end that’s the game, its zergy, albs have minstrels, mids have savages, hibs have ...magic
, there are no lamers or heroes, there are players, some goin solo unbuffed and they laugh when they getting zerged, they having fun, i ‘ve seen it happen. Some others yelling when they are 2fg and die by 1fg, some others yelling when they are 1fg and they kill 3fg but their healer dies, some others like to Role Play, Some others like to kill only mobs, but everyone is trying to make the game fun for his self. Mythic makes new patches, they trying to improve the game even tho maybe they looking more in the $$ side than the gamers fun side, but WE will deside what to do. You don’t like get zerged ? You think your char is gimped, you think your realm suxs ? Stop playing, make a zerg, play pacman, make another char, change realm etc.
Game might have some bugs though and some might abuse them. Report the bugs and hope Mythic to fix, if not …live with that.
( btw i personally have send 5 emails some time ago about Radar users in both goa and mythic and kemor etc )
Fun ! for me fun is to have some nice fights and try win more of them, in current rvr i cant have fun solo as already mentioned, solo days have passed, i ‘ve got at least 3 million rps solo ( dont care if some of you dont believe that ) and another 5 the other ways, but this was long time ago, even if RvR was still the same and i could solo, i cant, i had enough of it, its boring for me now. Now i am having fun by Duo Trio and in some cases when i see the SB's blocking amg with a zerg i might make even bigger grp.
You dont like it? i don't care, i will play the game as i like, the only think i will do is what i alrdy promised, i wont make/join big grps except RvR status demands such action. But again if some time i am in a mood to zerg and i want to have fun killing grey cons ...i will do it ! Some might whine again. I don’t care ! One thing i also wont do is camp the way to emain.
