I got 2 computers I play on. The first one I got no problem with, at night I can see just fine.

But with the other I cant see anything at night even thought I got the Torch on, It is WAY to dark (black).
It is a pain if I'm traveling somewhere and its HELL in RvR:mad:

I have put all my settings on my screen at the lightest and tried to change, but I cant see any better however I set it.

Do someone have had the same problem and know what to do?

Tnx

Have you tweaked your display adapter gamma up a notch too? Most cards have this in Display properties -> Settings -> Advanced -> Color Correction

Well, you monitor might be getting old as well. had that happen to my old 14" quite a few years back (before anyone had heard of 3d-cards). Got me a new one, and lookie lookie, all nice and bright again =)

But before you go to all that trouble, check your gamma-settings =)

If U dont have a driverbased tweaker try searching for a prog called

Powerstrip - has some nice settingcontrols..

Allows U to set the gamma ingame, very useful to do.. :)

I haven't got the exact same method for changing my color settings, I have nvidias drivers...

So I have to go:
Display properties -> Settings -> Advanced -> Twin View
Then right click the 'monitor screen' in the middle and select colour correction.

From there you can make a default setting for your computer which it can use every time you start your computer..

Works like a charm for me and my 'dark monitor'.

I discovered a bad thing when I started the computer today. The Light was reset to dark again:mad:
Ah well I think I can live with change it once a day.

I'm still happy I can see something at night:clap:

Joking aside, I have exactly the same problem as you do.

there is checkbox in the nVidia which alpys the gamma as default every time you start up which i use... but it still gets buggered up by some games, UT, JK2, Q3, T2 ect.. but things like Half-Life & DAOC dont bother it.. very wierd :)

I also have Adobe Gamma and i found it does squat... so not quite evil.. just pointless
