I've gone for they light news look so people can find the best news easily on one site. Let me know what you think, any advice would be great.

Update

I've changed some color's I think they're at bit better - got rid of that yucky brown. Today's news is also rolling in. I've had over 100 already not bad as the websites only been up 20 hours.

not bad for a first attemp, the real test for you is to see if you can keep improving it over time

Okay so I've had some feedback about the design. (I know I'm not the best webdesigner in the world) But with Dukgamers having been online for a week what do you think about the content? Do you think the news is helpful? I'd just like to see if I'm reporting on the right stories.

For content the site looks pretty good, a few font /colour changes etc. and it would look real good too.

Also if you want any help with PHP/MySQL I'm often on here.

I dunno weather this will help but here goes anyway:

I have found that if you speacialise in something you tend to do a lot better than if your a general news site. Don't foget, you will be competing with people that do that as thier full time job!!

Find something that interest's you about the On-Line gaming community and report news, articles etc

Thanks for the idea but for the moment I think I'll stick to general news, which I really enjoy doing.
