My new AMD Athlon 2500 XP runs at 1.1 gigahertz?

Its a 2500+ XP Athlon, but when I run DirectX diagnostics, and when the pc starts up, it says:

Processor: AMD Athlon(tm) , MMX, 3DNow, ~1.1GHz

I assmume its a BIOS setting or something.... anyone got any ideas?


Operating System isWindows 2000 Professional
Mobo is Asus A7N8X

ah, got it sorted... silly BIOS features were set to "stable"
