My Logitech Webcam won't work anymore!!

.... after plonking Win XP Pro on despite getting the the latest XP drivers from Logitech.


It just won't install the Camera now. Bastard gay fuck shit toss.

I bought one to film me and samm erm wrestling, yes thats it wrestling, and it worked for an hour under XP then died, I took it back

Not Accept the Correct Drivers
Plug in USB and it dont detect it?

sounds silly but have you tried a diff usb port? that has certainly fixed the probs we've had with our intel usb procam jobbie

Yes, I have tried different USB ports (one in PC, one in external powered Hub).

I just tried to reinstall the fucking thing again and this time it ran for 5 secs then froze.


Never ever did this under Win 98 SE.

Looks like I may need a new Webcam.

does the unit come with XP drivers in the box?

It is over a year old and came with no XP drivers.

I looked at the Logitech webby and DL the XP drivers from there to no avail.

actually it apparently makes no difference (doh) - which driver are you trying to install? the 22mb full package or one of the smaller update sets?

FYI I have the *round* one cos it's more ergonomic.


I have the 22 Meg DL patch pack and it don't work.

I also tried the drivers that came with the camera and that doesn't work either.

I also tried the WinXP generic drivers and - nope, no luck.
