No, not like that dammit. Bought BF1942 today and have just been playing it... to put it bluntly, I suck at it majorly. Although driving around like a nutter can be fun, I doubt others enjoy it

Anyway, I know a few of the generalites play BF1942 so where do you lot all play (if not GAME.net) so I can wage war against you lamers?

tbh, ur not gonna get good at it on the publics

basically its easy to point and click, and to get tradjectories [i cant spell and i cba looking it up] right on shells in tanks and artillery and stuff, but i hope these people agree when i say its all about tactics yeh?

thats why i dont play on publics anyway. they're all one minded cunts i usually wait for tuesdays and wednesdays where then its just for the good of the cause and for the chat and what not

anyhoo this probably wasnt the answer u wanted soooo... jolt and by have good pings and people are usually on them if ur desparate enough

I'll probably toddle along to the GAME nights, sounds good. I should just learn the objective of the game as much as I can.

Actually you will get better playing on publics.
Learning the maps, how to use the vehicles properly, aiming, learning the engineer/medic class etc is all useful.

You'll find most people on the blueyonder or EAUK servers.

Is it worth getting a joystick for the planes? I can't fly them at all with my mouse... which is fucked mind you.

I use a joystick to fly planes, mainly, because that's what I'm used to with other flight sims. Some people can fly quite well with the mouse + keyboard. Down to personal preference.

The only real advantage to flying with a mouse is you can turn mouse acceleration on, and turn on a 6 pence

First time on-line was great I do play the public servers but its still great, Its just a fun game. I played throught he single player first to get used to how the game handles, also to teach my self about flying, Naval battles, artillery and tanks.

Its just a very fun game
