My DAoC keeps crashing, "NOT LD" :)

Well, i just bought a new computer 2400+AMD, 512ddr ram, gforce4 mx 400/200 - how ever when i run SI client my daoc just directly quits its a random time from 5min - 1hour well i tried to update my driver on "www.nvidia.com" well that didnt work

It gets better my classic client crashes aswell, but not as offen... anyone know how to solve this ?

I had a similar problem the only way i got stability was to use the 30.83's :S
Time for a new gfx card :l

This sounds like your ram isn't working properly.
Try less aggresive settings, other sticks or another brand.

i had the same problem...random crashes after a random period of time for no aparent reason....

After much searching and RMA's.... the cpu was faulty...new cpu and everythign is now happy as pie.

So...try and test the CPU with Sissoft [i forget url] theres a free version.....theres also a memory tester in the package.


Quick question...does it do it in other games?
Do you get any error messages 'ever'?

Yes, it done it a few times in other games ( Neocron & Enter the Matrix) got no clue why, ive been thinking of reformating the computer to start over etc.. perhaps there was a failure in one of the update patches..

Run that memory test.
My computer also crashed after a 1-30 minutes of play and it did the same in other games, while xp itself remained stable.
I ran a memory test and it gave a whole load of errors, turned out I had the wrong brand of memory for my mobo.
