OH, and WHERE THE FUCK IS THE pdf printer in our building??? Can't find a whole 200 page report I printed out when the laserjet was b0rked!! I asked IT and the guy says that the printer must be somewhere!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the pdf printer a fake printer device that is used to print from any ol app and turn things in to pdf files?

I.e. make some word doc, file->print, pdf printer, and it simply turns postscript or whatever it uses, in to a pdf file..

I agree, I have a .pdf printer, it takes an ordinary file (.doc) and converts it to .pdf, maybe check you HD?

Otherwise... it doesn't print to paper, it "prints" to a file. There will be a .pdf on the HD, probs called the same as the original .doc?

If it was actually a document that was already .pdf and printed then you need only to print it again, using the menu (file/print) but check the print properties, it will say which printer, then ask IT where that is.
