Hey, I've just bought DAoC but when I write my CD-key it says it's invalid. Don't tell me to check it twice, make sure I don't write L instead of I and so on because I don't! I've written it 100 times and it still says invalid CD-key. What can be the problem? Can it be a bad CD-key? You know, they have spelled the CD-key wrong or what? Please reply fast...

The Key you enter should be in the format:

XXXXXXX-XXXXXXX-XXXXXXX-XXXXXXX-XXXXXXX

I hate to say it, but its more than likely to be user error.

Some other options, is it DAoC-SI or DAoC? If its SI you need to enter a DAoC key.

They may well have printed an invalid key. In which case, take it back to the shop and get a new one. I should imagine the good ppl at rightsometimethiscentury can verify that.

Im not sure what the error is if you enter a key already in use but i dont think its an invalid key error. And tbh, this would only be a problem if your shop restocks returned items, i.e someone installed it, used/registered the key, then returned the product to the shop.

Is it saying invalid key when you try and register on the website? or when you try and run the client? Not even sure if the client key is even checked.

Personally, id take it back, having asked rightnow whether its a valid key, and get a new copy :l
