The people at GOA can very well check (afaik) about everything you have done the last, and who and from what ip has connected to your account.

They need to just allow people to change their subs password from time to time, if someone gets hold of your subs password they will not change it and the person can log in and out of the web and view your game password as much as they like.
If they do not have your subs password just change your game password on the web.
It sucks that GoA don't let anyone change the subs password but they don't even have the login stuff on an SSL, so where is the security there then?!?!?!
I must remeber to hire a wanadoo co-located server and packet sniff the network sometime (j/k)
It can't be that hard to allow people to change the subs password, one field in the subs database?
I can understand where they say your password is your responsibility...you keep it safe, but not being allowed to change such a critical password is silly, I personally can never remember the password so I have all the details scribbled down somewhere, gosh even my dog could read it if he knew what it ment
The point being is not much is 100% safe in any way, so just allowing this one change would probably stop about t99% of the problems, if someone gives away an account, the new owner should change the subs password instantly and thats that, Goa still get their money, there can be only one owner, not that hard to figure out really, is it?

This is not flame at bone, but
99% of errors are down to people screwing up then moaning its all goa's fault. You have respec they tell you more than enough times about being careful, yet theres countless screwups roaming the land moaning its all goa's fault they respeced there armsman on 50 shield and only have 1pt in slash or now they cant do this or do that. kit stealing is different since thats a crime even in a computer game and goa should kick butt of offenders. As for breaking into houses etc and stealing stuff lets try to be real, odds of mr burglar coming into your house and spending the time to read though your emails for your daoc account info before stealing your tv, if he nicks your whole system it wont matter since you cant play anyway. goa might not be perfect but lets save the crap replys to the ones who screw up in first place, "i lent my lava sword to the lv1 in camelot" type posts.
for record the post above mine is one of the few that actualy have any value in the 3 pages of posts.

I wanted to comment on this lack of SSL.
I also noticed this (first time I visited the page really) and was bit worried.
I took a look at the html source and it uses some kind of md5 algorithm to secure the password.
I don't know how secure it is, I'm no cryptography expert, but it's not sent in plain text.

What have i done. I only said that there had been a mistake at the people that we make the payments too, nothing to do with goa and its turned into a rip the guts out of GoA thread . They gave me the 3 days that my account was down back to me free of charge. GoA's in my good books atm until i go LD again.
