Sorry I've been away and feel I've let alot of people down by not being able to run raids or even get online. I will still be away for a short while and hope to be back online in the near future. Unfortunately, during work on Thursday 28th july I suffered a ratehr unpleasant accident in work, when i fell removing a server from its mounting and the server for good measure popped out and landed on my back. To that extent I have severly bruised my spine and at one point the doctors thought i may have broken it, whihc would have explained the paralysis I was suffering down my left side at the time. Luckily though after a weeks worth of rest, and many many scans and a small operation to reduce the pressure and swelling of my lower spine I'm able to get about albiet gingerly, have feeling back in my legs and hope to up and about in no time. As one can imagine being told you may not walk again puts ones whole life upside down and into stark perspective. As such though I'm now home to recover I won't be making an immediate return to daoc as I want to concentrate on those nearest and dearest to me who have done so much for me over the last 8 days or so. Your all good peeps and some good friends but none of you are as cuddly and important as her indoors
I see by the boards lots of raids are still going on and its sad to hear Midgard has lost a dedicated raid leader in Vaviries. It's always a shame when we loose someone to our community whose prepared to make the effort to work hard and make things happen to benefit and enjoyment of us all. I for one though I met him sparingly and had a run in with him ( But I run in with everyone in daoc cause I'm special
) will miss him. Best of luck Vavi if you read this, and I'm sure your girlfriend is pleased to have you back. She is after all more important and tangible than us silly puter gamers.. even if Sojik is damn sexeh for a smurf!
As Arnie would say "I'll be back!"
