Mutators for the league

Having investigated UT a fair bit lately, I cant help but feel a little disapointed with some of the teamplay aspects, especially the communication side of it.

Personally Id like to see some mutators that bring in extra teamplay sounds, as I understand it, to use these, the servers would have to have the mutator aswell.

Would the league consider using these extra mutators if there was the suport, or would it prefer to keep the game as original?

Personally I would consider mutators for the future but it's best to leave the game as is to start so we can get things going as easy as possible

I feel that UT offers much more than any game that has goen before when it comes to team games. If you are after more try binding text messages to keys or getting your clan to run Roger Wilco / Battlefield Communicator.

Ahh one thing I questioned the league about, as it says in the league rules 'no external aids of any sort'

I asked the question but havent got a reply yet so I assume these are 'legal' as such?

If not why not?

Anything which improves teamplay, the reason behind a CTF game, is something worth being legal IMO.

Sorry, you lost me. What do you mean by "these". You mean text messages bound to keys? Well they are a simple key bind and are, of course, not against any rules. Editing your config file to include some new key binds does not class as an external aid.

Well, being active in the TFC community , I see Roger Wilco in use in every game by every team. It has become an integral part of the game for most clans and I see no reason why it can't be used in UT team games.

It is something that we would have extreme trouble detecting without some sort of mod anyway and, as you probably know yourself, real time voice comms add to the team experience immensely.
