Well, when I read stories like that, I think about how, if he was so unhappy he wanted to kill himself, even though he had all that success, surely his friends around him would have noticed, and tried to help? There is probably a lot more going on than meets the eye.

seems to make little sense. Ignoring the cons and cons of suicide, Feeder had had their best year, exponential fanbase, they were credible etc etc etc.... makes no sense

I dont usually flame on boards prefering jokes or just taking other peoples views etc but this is omething I feel very strongly about.
When you have suffered something like depression then maybe you might understand. I dont know if that was the problem, but having had mental problems myself I know what its like and let me tell you that you DO NOT.
Please dont post with some "we all get down dometimes" crap which is a lot of peoples response. Mental illnesses that lead people to suicide are NOT because they are weak or not thinking, they are chemical imbalances in the brain.
Would you tell a diabetic to pull himself together - dont think so, because you accept that their body doesnt make enough insulin etc -- so why cant you accept that some us have bodies that dont make enough Serotonin (cant remember the names of the others)
Its tragic that this bloke clearly didnt get the help he needed -- its not easy to admit you need help ! Let me just assure you that the feelings of depression and anxiety you get with these illnesses is NOTHING like the "normal" downs everyone gets -- they can not just be ignored, they can not be forgotten.

Well said Lynch,depression must be one of the most misunderstood illness' out there.
Unfortunately to many people want to be l33t and get a cheap jibe in for a laugh.
Until you know someone or been through this yourself i suggest you keep your ill thought comments to yourself.

I think, and somewhat credibly so, that the family/bandmates/friends have chosen to keep the details private. To be honest, I don't think we have a right to know if he didn't want us too.
