Taggart was great cause it wasnt any CSI special effects or good looking actors doing high tech stuff. It was basically an angry scotsman in an interview room yelling "You did it" over and over till the suspect gave in

What was the series with Helen Mirren in it as a copper? Loads better than Taggart. I have to say I stopped watching Taggart when he died. Just didn't feel the same.

One funny scene i remember was when the doctor tells Taggart
"Im afraid your wife wont be able to walk again"
"she was already in a wheelchair" or something to the effect, cracked me right up
