The only person who has given me perpetual trouble in Murd is a Scout by the name of Murdgear (sp?).

I've only got him a few times and his arrows tear through my cloth armour like there's no tomorrow.

I *will* get him back though...;)

Some sodding elf NS, can remember the name, something like Aoska... have only seen him tonight but already he has managed to kill me enough times to ear a place on my hit list...

Oh and I dont think there are any scouts by that name in murd's lvl range Dook, the nearest i can think of is Midgarr the scout.

That would be the one.

I have killed quite a few lately as I am becoming (a bit) more adept with my blade - I was absolutely awful to start with hehe.

Anyway - the main guys I see are missing, notoriousx and jaraya from alb. I see quite a few more - but i can never remember the names.

The bgs make the pain of levelling a rogue soooo worth it. I just like making my realmmates cack their pants by unstealthing in front of them...hehe

Those albs that stand at the PK wall /beckoning and /laughing when its 1v1 or 2v2 (or sometimes 1v2 in their favour...).

Yes Oreon, I'm talking about you...

Perplexed, i had built up this amazing idea of you, for some reason i had never seen you on the bg before and i was expecting a lot. Sadly i was very disappointed, on several occasions i was sure it was some1 else as you had no tactics and very little common sense. The hunter you fought along side was a damn good player though, cant remember his name but he killed me on many occasions.

Vernando.

And he also needs to learn to fear the flute. ;)

I got careless once tonight, and Perplexed punished me for that. After that, well, we did have them outnumberred, but fighting from a set position against superior numbers and a few assassins, means you will lose.

To the rest of the Albions that were there last night. Thank you for being patient, and executing a most splendid ambush of those four Hibbies. Missing jumped the gun a little, and paid the price. But, succeeded in distracting all four of them, while myself and another minstrel came in from the flanks and mezzed two while the other stealthers quickly dispatched the other two.

Very nice.

Missing,

I was teamed with Vernando when you where stealthed on top of the alb bridge coping stone. You bowed just before you died...Kudos.

BTW - Skalds dont need tactics....

I refuse to ever pull my weapon out as it is so humiliatingly small, if for any reason I know Im screwed then I like to go out with a smile, you guys out did me. :D

Oh and yes, yes I jumped the gun just a tiny bit but still, we won.

Missing, last night it was like 8v2 albs vs mids and no-one else had ported for around an hour. What do you want me to do? Stand in the keep doing nothing? No thanks, I don't play like that. Not having the benefit of stealth and a bow, it was inevitable that I was going to die sometime. I managed to take out 2 or 3 albs before dying each time anyway, my last death was because I was bored and suiciding.

Please tell me how you would have handled the situation differently, Mr. Tactical Genius.

(Oh and the one time I met you 1v1 your tactics were pretty poor, which is why I killed you. Tip for the future - shooting skalds from 1/2 range then spamming /bow when you realised you've f**ked up isn't the best of tactics...)

When we met I was under the impression that my group mates were a minutes run away, so i ran around you for a while, when i lost you (which was very easy) I noticed you were running away thinking i had gone that way. So I had to keep you there, I thought my little display was quite effective and anyway a sinlge /bow is not spam, I mean it did work in the end, they got there in time. Anyway, you conned orange to me, im a coward on only take blue con lurikeen casters who are sitting down.

New guy on me list, goes by the name Age and is a misfortunately ugly dwarf with a serious growth problem. I think he is fairly new to the BG's but he completely humiliated myself and a fellow alb by forcing me to believ ei could beat him in melee, he took a yellow con merc and a yellow con scout (moi) simultaneously and walked away with next to know damage...

Hehe, since you say it was a humiliating experience for you anyway, lemme make it a bit more humiliating then ;-)
Age, the Thane who whacked you and your m8 simultaneously, is only level 26 (or maybe 27 by now)

Oh dear... he conned yella but oh dear... We were both supposedly experiences lvl29's...
I best not mention my mates name then, he may kill me.

Has the second battleground become a ghost town? I have been there quite a bit recently, and seen a total of four enemies in the space of four to five real life hours.

It is most depressing.

<sighs>

:(

Well... we cant just sit around and wait, Im trying to get a decent lvl for the next bg as soon as possible. Murd is the dead ground, it seems... :(

before hitting lvl 30 my wanted list only contained one person, Laarn. he ran around hiding behind people when there was a fight doing absolutly nothing, then when it ended he would go around laughing at the people that died (not by his hands or skill). still, i got to dish that back to him once which made me feel better. either way, if i see him again ill be going after him.

and perplex, i wouldnt mind some revenge on you for the night i logged in to the BG after a night in the pub and thought "skald, no probs" even tho they are a scouts worst enemy, ill never play this game drunk again ;)

Ive complained similarly about laarn before and was told that he is a healer and so it is his job to do nothing but laugh at corpses... ???

i can assure you my arrows will. but dont expect it to be 1 on 1, skalds are one of few classes with an advantage over scouts' long range (fast running, shout dmg and stun etc). then at close range were toast, hell, a runemaster could probably beat me with his/her staff

Pepsay, I'd say that since the patch, there has been a HUGE increase in the number of stealth classes. Whether these will mature to L40+ or not is another question. Most people jsut create them for the battlegrounds, uberising them with L40+ magic items. Which is quite sad. I mean, look at some of the people you see there. Wearing black dye, using proc weapons (although these only work post 40) wearing L40+ magic items to enhance skills, etc...sad...and the BG's were supposed to be level playing fields...

aye, but its mainly the instant dd and stun thats the big problem, obviously they cant be interupted, while they usually end up interupting my 3rd shot, which as a result leaves you with more HP than i can handle in H2H combat :( either way, ill get revenge one day, but i dout ill be alone ;)

The huge increase in stealthers was from before this patch..

everyone and their brother seemed to have an alt scout or infil in albion..

yeah i noticed that aswell, it cut right into my grouping when i came back to my scout at lvl 15-ish after lvling my wiz. its one of the reasons i took a month break at lvl 27. lvling is such a pain when 50% of the group are rouge based classes, they tank about as good as a fly against a truck doing 60mph, its ridiculous!
