Gah what chance do people like mythic etc have to create error free games when you get crap from Microsoft?

That link is nothing to do with AMD processors...

It's "DirectX 8.1 Potential Issues in Games That Use Software Vertex Processing" and is hardly a major issue as:

"The only games that are known to experience this issue were discovered during pre-release testing and already include this update with the product release."

So what exactly is the problem there?

Well when I posted the link the title was as described at the top, and there was a section saying that this problem ONLY occured on AMD processors and had not been replicated on Intel processors.

Software Vertex processing is done via the processor for those who don't have fully compliant Direct X 8.1 videocards, and I would guess that the AMD specific tone was removed.
