The flags added to NiceFridge and Braindance aren’t really to be capped there just there to stop standoffs from happening, instead of adding a flag you could allow caps to count if your flag isn’t there, like TF. I’ve watched some American sides play on iceridge and raindance recently and when a standoff occurs they defend the flag outside the base, which allows standoffs to be ended.
On Broadbeans the two new flags are easier to get than the original, I wonder if that means people will just attack the roof to get the flags and the gens and not bother attacking the lower part of the base.
The problem I have with levels using the broadside and Scarabrae bases is that it allows sides to play very defensive, 6 or 7 D and often get the draw they desire which they couldn’t do on other levels. Don’t forget some side have become excellent at defending on open levels like Stonehenge so you wont have much chance on an indoor level. Techniques like mine and disc combos will kill a shielded light in one shot and make short work of heavies.
I’m probably not being observant but I didn’t notice any difference between scarybay3 and 2.
The MultiFlag maps (scarybay3 but not 2) have different points for different flags.
As you say, people would only attack the roof on Broadbeans, but the original (lower) flag now counts 3 caps, while the upper are the regualr one point each. Thus the balance is tipped.
ScaryBay 3 the original flag scores 3, NiceFridge & Braindance the new flags inside bases score 3.
