I was playing this earlier today. It's not polished by a long way, but the fact they they've made multiplayer in both GTA3 and Vice City is amazing.

Good fun and fully supported through The All-Seeing Eye.

Then it's quite a cunt of a thing that the bollocking GTA engine doesn't work when my modem is plugged in isn't it ? Utter facking muppetry.

It crashes every 2-3 minutes and everyone spawns in the same place and to top it all if someone takes the car you took a minute or so ago yours disappears. sigh...

Bloody hell! Cut it some slack! The games didn't even ship with multiplayer capability. On that basis alone this has to be one of the most impressive mods evah!

Though it's never crashed for me.

Muhh? That's the least sensible mod ever, lets take an 80s game and stick in modern cars, much like GTA3 offered, you'll still have everything else 80s though.

A new version of Multi Theft Auto for Vice City has been released today: version 0.2.2.

I mention it as I've been playing it most of the day and although there is undoubtedly a lot of work left to do, this is now a working, fun addition to Vice City.

summo has the lag problem been fixed? I remember when I tried it last the lowest ping I could get was in the thousands.

MTA:VC is good fun with a pile of mates on LAN

theres some strange things you can do with a bit of organisation. like this madness (32.7mb) on the original 0.1 release

keep meaning to buy Mafia, but keep buying other stuff instead.

Well, I couldn't say for sure. But there were no such issues on any of the games I played.

Seems really stable now, I didn't crash out at all after playing 30 mins or so. Killed Summo by accident once but these things happen

Just wish I had a LAN to play it on. Can only get limited enjoyment from playing faceless opponents
