Hullooo,

usually when I am writing a document if I do something that needs changing I just highlight it and hit enter or write over the top of it but for some reason *looks menacingly at PC* it has just lately started not allowing me to do this and when I try and over write my work I just end up with the new stuff right next to the old stuff and it is reeeeeeeeeeeally annoying, I've tried messing about with the insert key but that doesn't do anything.

Can anyone tell me what I did and how to undo it so I can get back to normal (ha, normalish anyway) please?

Many thanks
xxx

Highlight + Backspace + write new stuff.

Also check that you're in edit mode, not read mode (some software has different modes).

For re-assurance; highlight -> cut -> type stuff. IF you want old back, it's in the "paste" cutboard.

Someone quote this for EQ 'cause she's still probably on the ignore wagon :D
