Mst annoying interruption in movie theatres ?

People who turn their phones on/look at their phones during the film. Fuckers need to be shot on site.

How exactly does it disturb you if I quickly pull my phone out of my pocket and start looking at it =) It's not like it makes any noise or smth like that =)

(Not that I do it, I'm going to cinema to watch a movie and not to drink/phone/shag/... )

If you're sitting infront of me, and your phone has ultra high glare. It's annoying. Some guy did it then realised the whole row behind him were glaring at him, so he left.

i still dont see how that makes a difference to you, unless he/she is holding it up in the air for all to see a huge screen in front of you is not exactly affected by a phone lcd

It's a distraction from the movie. A new thing in the experience that is not supposed to be there.

And that's something people don't like.

If you can't live without a phone for 2-3hours, then get the hell out.

I always turn mine off, because it's just nice and all that fluffy f*ck.

I check my phone in a cinema, because i sometimes need to check the time and it's too dark for a watch. i aim to reduce the glare by keeping it in my pocket, but still.

I turn mine off too, but it doesnt digress from the fact most people go to enjoy themselves not sit in military formation eyes forward, mouths shut.
If you wanted complete and utter silence with no distractions you watch it at home. I dont know about you but i dont go to the cinema on my own because i dont go for the movie itself per se but the experience with my friends.
i see nothing wrong with discreetly checking the time, or whispering to your friend next to you provided it is within reason.

If you cant handle there are actually other people in there with you, in your own words "get the hell out"

Why? I mean...why? Just to know? OR to know how long the movie is still going? If i knew that, it would ruin the movie really. To know exactly when it ends.

Quite. But there's a difference in checking the time from the edge of your pocket and whispering to your friend, and in whipping out a communicator and shining the light on your pimple covered face while TALKING to your friends.

I remember - and this is going back YEARS - when you could smoke in the movie theatre. There was ashtrays (glued to the back of the seat in front) and there was always this miasma of blue haze. Despite the health hazards, it was more...I dunno...atmospheric with the smoke around...more seedy.
