MSBlaster Virus.

Ok if your begining to get a little popup box saying your machine is going to shutdown in 60 secconds follow this procedure.

Go to Start -> Run and type: cmd

Press Enter

Type: cd..

Press Enter

Type: cd..

Press Enter

Type: cd Windows

Press Enter

Type: cd System32

Press Enter

Type: rm msblast.exe

Press Enter

Close the little black box you have on screen.

If your running Windows XP Pro/Home, Download this file. Run it and restart your PC.

If your running Windows 2000, Download this file. Run it and restart your PC.

That should do it, im sorry for the lamens terms for you who know your way around the windows console but ive just been to work and had to deal with customers who knew absolutly nothing about computers so i thought id explain exactly what to do!

or as I mentioned in the 300 other posts about this (in this forum), it is much easier to just turn off RPC by going to start>>run and typing

shutdown -a

or turn xp's firewall on and install the patch
