MS pulled the plug on IE5.5 but not 5.0?

Hi, normally I keep very up to date on tech news, but this is something I haven't come across anywhere. I'm looking for IE5.5, the reason I was hoping for this version is afaik it still supports Windows 95 and we have some 95 machines here at work that need updating to 5.5. The problem is, after visiting Microsoft's site I could only find 5.0 SP2 and 6.0 SP1. Also, all links I could find on the net pointing to the 5.5 installer now seem to be dead - on both the Euro and US MS sites. So the question is, have MS for some obscure reason pulled the plug on 5.5 but not 5.0? If not where the hell are MS hiding it? I remember grabbing it to install at another site not much over a month or so ago so it could only have been shifted recently. Hope someone can help. Thanks,

I have a few machines with it on, I just need the installer, which has vanished off the MS site since I last installed it a month or so back.

Failing that, check any magazine cover cds you have lying around, i'm sure i'd have a copy of it on a .net mag cd....
