Ive set my outlook up and I seem to be having a couple of problems regarding accounts.

What I want is 4 seperate accounts.

Is there a way where Outlook will only check the one email address for the person who is logged on rather than all four? at the mo I have 2 accounts on there and it checks them both at the same time rather than 1.

Cheers :)

Hi darthshearer

You really have two options (I think!). If you're using Windows with separate logins (where you chose an account to log into upon booting up) simply login to the appropriate account, start Outlook and setup the account. Log out and repeat as necessary for the other login accounts.

If you're not all using separate logins, then you need to create seperate identities from within Outlook itself (these can be password protected, if needs be). This will you to start Outlook, and then switch identities according to who is using the computer. For information on creating Outlook identities, just start Outlook, press F1, click on the 'Index' tab and look for the information concerning identities.

Hope this helps

No problem :) I don't actually use Outlook at the moment, so I'm only guessing the above would fix your problem. If it doesn't work, please post again.

Not sure if identies are in Outlook or not - this being 2000 that I have. However, you can certainly create new Personal Folders files and password them.

If your email has an IMAP option, this is better still (if identies aren't in your version) since you can password protect each IMAP box, and there's no risk of confusion (on Outlooks part) when it tries to sort mail.

I'd recommend the separate user accounts, since that is how it is designed to work, really.

Oops, my apologies. I have to confess I'm using Outlook Express until Outlook 2003 comes along, when I'll hopefully be able to upgrade. Sorry for misleading you, darthshearer.

Kind Regards
