Just when you thought Bill Gates cheque book could not tempt the makers of such a professional open source browser, look what he bought!!

http://www.msfirefox.com/

I love this line in his blurb:
Bill Phatwallet Gates said:
Upgrade from other shoddy browsers with confidence. Get downloads for Microsoft Firefox, including recommended updates as they become available.

Wonder if he means shoddy ones like IE....

So we lose another decent browser, the virus writers around the globe will be circling this like vultures, when is the tit going to realise, if its got MS on it, everyone on the opensource net is going to target it?

When will people realise, that he does not care? Shit is available for firefox aswell, But it aint got MS on so it does not count. People should be thanking him for creating the world we live in today. Its typical of the people that currently live on this planet.

I had a guy hand me this article this morning and he had tears in his eyes. I actually laughed in his face. Hes a anti MS fan boi and I fucking love it when this shit happens.

Aye I think Microsoft can afford to not have to have - Ads provided by Google - links on their websites.

Note: TakeOver will often over-react to unendorsed security software and may unexpectedly force the Windows file system into a uncontrollable shutdown / recovery phase. There is nothing you can do.

The following are also declared as malicious and dangerous, and will therefore cause a shutdown:

* All Symantec Products
* All McAfee
* Command Antivirus
* eTrust Antivirus
* Dr. Web
* NOD32
* F-Prot Antivirus
* F-Secure Anti-Virus
* GFI MailSecurity for Microsoft Exchange/SMTP
* GFI DownloadSecurity for Microsoft ISA Server
* AVG Anti-Virus
* ViRobot Expert
* Kaspersky Anti-Virus
* Norman Virus Control (NVC)
* Panda Titanium Antivirus
* Protector Plus
* Sophos Anti-Virus
* Sybari Antigen
* Trend Micro PC-cillin

And basically all other security vendors who have recently filed lawsuits against Microsoft.

RSS (Real Simple Sex)
RSS is a relatively new algorithmic technology fueled by the continued hot desires of many online web users. Accessed by an illuminating an icon on the toolbar - a single click allows you to view and optionally download anything that resembles a tit, a boob or a breast - rendered directly in the browser with speeds up to 10 times faster than the competition. Real Simple Sex can scan and arrange explicit images/pictures in order of quality and effectively filters out irrelevant content such as balloons or soccer balls.

I loved this new feature!

Googling Filter

Proactively warns and helps protect you against potential or known fraudulent sites such as Google.com, blocks the site and shuts down your computer if necessary. The filter is updated several times per hour using the latest security information from Microsoft.

A robust new Microsoft security architecture known as TakeOver™ helps to protect the Windows Kernel from malicious, damaging and viral software such as Symantec and McAfee products.

Please tell me you didn't really believe it at the first moment. The page looks to shabby to be a microsoft page. Can say a lot about them, but they do care about the looks of things, and that (with the badly edited bill gates picture on the site, the odd looking grading etc) is definately not a microsoft made page.

On a sidenote... Microsoft is actually trying to get their hands in the OpenSource community. They have signed (or are in the process of signing) an agreement with Novell, and there's a lot of objection to it from the opensource community.

Previous installations of browsers such as Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox, will automatically be overwritten. The removal of Microsoft Firefox from your system violates international copyright law. Therefore, you cannot legally uninstall Microsoft Firefox.

I have probably spent about 13 seconds on Microsoft pages in my life...no pr0n.

Read the thread before I looked at it though - may have fallen for it for a moment tbh.
