I want to listen to my Smiths bootlegs in my car (but my car doesnt know what an mp3 is) so I need to convert them to Wavs for burning onto CD. Is there anything that can do this ???

(Before you all shout about the illegality of MP3s I own every Smiths CD they ever made. they never released peel sessions or concerts tho.)

if you look at the winAMP preferences you can choose nulsoft diskwriter or wav-out plug-in, this allows you to choose a directory where it'll put wav recordings of your mp3s. It works quite well as well

Hope this helps.

There are various endcoder/decoder programs around - its just a case of finding them. I think Xing mpeg-thingy is rather good tho..

IT WORKED!

Diskwriter dll in winamp works a treat ta m8, after hours of trying to find an app on the net, I find I had it all along

RV: I think youve got wrong end of stick m8, plenty of wav>MP3 convertors (I recommend audiocatalyst BTW) but couldnt find any that worked the other way round with any success.

Im off to play some Smiths now bye.
