Well, perhaps it is a bit expensive. I must apologise for my greed and selfishness and deluding myself with the SILLY notion that I could try and replenish my coffers after spending over 18p on crafting to LGM.

Okay.

Average cost to make a MP Thick Barbed Whip or MP Weighted Flail is 2p. This is the price of materials for 50 attempts.

100% markup is kinda OTT especially as you then also have 8 99% weapons to sell (and by your prices make a further 200g on each).


(Flex weapons are 30% cheaper than other weapons, btw).

Well, lets see...made 25 whips. Got 2 99qua weapons, one of which I sold for 250g and the rest I was forced to sell back to the merchants in order to buy more arcanium. Until I offload this weapon and the guarded rapier I made earlier I will have approximately 27g and a few scraps of silver.

A good percentage of the reavers around have been PL'd by either their alts or by friends (like yourself and Samil) and are bound to have accumulated a large amount of moolah during the leveling process. I believe you said that you had made around 10-20plat whilst leveling your necro and reaver at the same time and I am sure other people have managed to scrounge up similar amounts of money during their DAoC lifespan.

Anyways, the point is that although it may be a tad pricey a lot of people CAN afford to buy this weapon and without their money I cannot afford to go on making weapons. I'm not pricing my weapons to be greedy because there isn't anything in game that I particularly want to buy. All I want to do is carry on making weapons because its the only thing I have the time to do these days.

Ah well, enough of my 'cinderella' bleeding heart story. If people have the money and have the need then they can buy it. If not...well, it will stay in my vault and collect large amounts of dust.

p.s. Thanks for the pricing advice. Much more useful that a 'rolling' smilie.

Ok, so people should have to overpay for MP items because you sell 99s more cheaply than you can afford, sell 99s back to merchants rather than wait for a customer, and have run out of gold.

So, you made 25 and got 2 99 and an MP in that. Sold 1 99 for 250 and 1 back to the merchant....

Total cost for you to make that weapon = 968g


So now you're only asking for 2.5p profit or a 268% markup for a 30 minute job.

As for my cash. Yes I made cash levelling my chars, just like everyone else. But the most I'll pay on MP gear is a 10% markup. (-10% on weapons as I make my own and sell the 99s at 10% profit).

Well goody for you. The 2.5p profit would probably end up covering the 3p I wasted trying to make a MP partisan...which I failed to make.

Anyway, thank you for effectively killing this thread and any chances I had of selling this weapon at 3.5p.
