Base cost for this is 162g. Retry cost is 40.5g -- and those are actual material costs, with no profit. On _average_ it will take one base make plus 49 retries to get a masterpiece, so expected cost would be 2146.5g ... and as I said that's with no profit at all for the tailor.

If you get a tailor who will work on a cost plus retry basis and you get lucky it could be less than this, but that's not the way to bet

I'd do it for cost, but would expect you to understand that I could easily get through 2 plat and still not have a MP for you.
