Moving Realm - Honest answer required.

Hi all,

Since i've been playing DAoC i have had high level characters on both Albion & Hibernian realms but have only had very low level characters in Midgard (level 1 - 5).

I'm once again planning on moving, this time will be my final move. Albion just isn't for me because of the class choices, it gets a boring very quickly. Hibernia is a bit to green for me . I'm keen on trying Midgard the classes sound interesting and i love the cold feel the lands give.

Before i move i wanted to get an honest answer to this question : Are you guys friendly and sociable?

We're ok. Same as all the other realms in my personal experience. Cept you'll have to learn how to play rather than just having a one button quickbar like albs and hibs do. (kidding )

It's two button quickbars for those realms really.

there are a-holes in all realms who like to kill the joy of the game for others, midgard is no exception- but overall....we aint that bad as they say we are :worthy:

You can't answear yes or no on that question.. most are friendly/sociable.. and of course we have people that aren't (mostly albs that moved over here ) J/K

And then it depend on what guild you join and how friendly/sociable you are..

Mid/excal is nice as far as I can see. But then again I have RL friends, relatives and girlfriend here, that ought to help And the classes are great, as you pointed out.

think hard about mocing cus the classes, i play both alb and mid and albs have by far in most ases WAY more "overpowered" classes then mid.
Not gona discus what realm make the best grp and so on, but a clas by itself alb win as good as always, there classes r the bomb seen on its own

Most mid excal persons are scandinavian juvenile cocky ones.

that since they sit infron of computer they can do whatever they please.

one of the reasons I left mid ages ago. tho im back again thats only cause of all the friendly Alb Pryd people that moved aswell.

Excalibur is the younger playerbase I found
Prydwen is the older one with a lower playerbase but then again most older.

Getting ignored on Mid Excal is just normal
On pryd alb for example it aint.

We're a bunch of oldtimers who spend many hours in front of our comps just cause we have such a great time together. We don't need to run around in RvR 24/7 or brag about something, we enjoy the game in all different ways. Maybe u ran into the more hardcore players that tend to be somewhat younger then atleast me and my friends.

Of course there's some nice ones and some not so nice but it's the same in every realm/server.

Have to agree with the other pryd posters, alb/pryd atmosphere is more friendly than mid/exc by my experience

Played all realms on all servers (the english ones :>) and i gotta say mid/excal seem to be the worst, thats just my opinion but theres WAY too many leet kiddies there whos unsocial and dosent really give a s*** about you I would pick prydwen unless there is some reason to why it has to be excal..

And for the younger database of players on excal, i have to agree on that..

Thanks for all the replies.

I chose excal mainly for the large playerbase since i would be rolling a support class and didn't want to spend hours looking for a team. If prydwen is generally more friendly i'll give it a go. Im deleteing my alb characters tonight (just so im not tempted to stay in alb ) and rolling my mid char.

I'll find a new player and give him/her an early christmas present

Everyone and all whines every now and then. You aint in real life with the players in DaoC so u go to Fh to let your feelings out.

Got to agree with you. In my post I just took all in on swing so to speak. There IS good people on Mid Exc to. but to that I cound the casual/pve gamers. which might be what you are. and that is the people I like to hang out with.

If u played prydwen later mid goes for stealther arsenal these days
