Movie : Vatech RR6 Melle Hunter

Hi all,

There have been loads of movies recently all of really good quality, so with that in mind, I have decided to release my own hunter movie and lower standard right back down

Any comments, flames and polite and advice is welcome, but just remember I play the game to have fun in the couple of hours a night i might have free.

If I have made a mistake with anyones names/ranks then apologies.

Movie was made with windows movie maker and is almost 20 mins long and 192meg. If anyone would be kind enough to provide a better host then it would be appreciated. (Will try and use something better if I ever make another one)

Fucking well played there, Vatech! Impressive to see an RR6 Hunter walking all over high-RR enemy stealthers like that. Less dying of poison after you kill your opponent, though, and less missing FZ as well!

It is a nice movie, but abit too much FZ to my likening, but I suppose for a hunter you often need it to counter the insane evade-rates on ur assassin-enemies

Also, ironically, the movie shows one of the big reasons why pierce/thrust sucks nowadays in the stealther-wars

it would be i guess but it only lasts about 5 seconds atm, next patch it increases think in spear its a pretty high gainer for the style after it so is worth using as much as u can as the stun doesnt last long enough.

also, not sure if this vid shows him in sword / spear, he respecced recently still gotta see it ;p

Anyway not sure what a Melle is not sure Melee fits either... as Melee isn't a verb and your solo......... just bored d/l don't flame me ya tards

Yeah, I was wondering if i put to much FZ in, I have lots of fights without it, but wanted a variety of fights types

The two fights with Thesa happened within minutes of each other, amazing the difference with hunters when toys and ra's are up or down.

when you FZ people, isn't it better to wait with the back stun until right before they get out of the FZ?

I used to try stunning at the end, but as mentioned, the stun is only 5 seconds currently and the number of times I missed or lag'd and lost the style at the end of the zeypher made me change my mind and just start use the highest damage chain i have at the start.

I have 4 hours 35 mins to go.... and I'm on 10 MB

Early stunning in the FZ also prevents ur enemy from popping charges/artifacts. If they pop Malice /use2 for example in the FZ, ur only doing half damage. If you stun immediatly, they cant do that (as u cant purge when ur in the FZ) and do potential more damage.

Also, if you stun late in the FZ, you just eat a Purge3 in ur face most likely, so probably not worth it for a hunter

heh, expected just another video but i have to say this is possibly the best stealthervid i have seen in a very long time, if not the best. no flashy bs editing, relaxing music, interesting fights from the first second to the very last.

yeah, he does use a lot of abilities, but so do the people he fights. abilities are ingame to be used, if the opponent doesn't its their loss, end of story. the guys he fights use a shitload of abilities on him aswell. next to that, there is fuck all a hunter can do about getting evaded lots of times except try to compensate with using toys. exactely like he did, and should.

in general the fights were rly great, even if it ended up in a loss, many of them were very close and against the top people on this server.

next time try not to put the nametag straight over your log or quickbar, its a bit annoying. running 6 resistbuffs is also very gay, but then again, it had no real impact on the video because the fights are good either way.

5 out of 5 stars from me, keep it up.

my only point - less resist buffs but you had some class fights in that vid, was good to see not all of em were :- "HAHAHA I R0XER PWNZ U!!!! <3!!!!!" good soundtrack - ncie choice.

all in all - was worth it to wait 3 hours via filefront!

I enjoyed watching not many hunter vids around. hunter is a highly competative stealther regardless of what the community crys about (it mainly underperforms because most hunters dont pack haste buffs, and you DO need haste buffs to be competative)

there were some flaws with it though considering you been capturing for a while now.

what was bad. Well tbh if you running 6 pack of resists versus a leggy weap user the ball is in your court. those fights you had versus LW users where u were 6 packed (to be fair there wasnt too many of these), were still fights where lots of crap was blown. For me there wasnt enough fights where u came up against and assasin and battered the shit out of them without timer dumping. I know thats not easy versus assasin as a hunter but u get fights even as a hunter where u dont get like evadepwned and you can thump in the big shots and win from outgunning them. this vid was lacking that, and that is the mark of a real pipe hitting hunter.

There were fights also that you lost because of bad timing of abilities (v maji). I disagreee with pup on the timing of the rear stun. You play the percentages and if your opponent blows RA's to counter it then fair enough, but nowadays u cant afford to turn a potential 16 second stun into a 9 second stun, because your trigger happy on the rear style. Also if your gonna battler, do it immedietly, you tended to use battler towards the end of the fights when u were panicing. earlier you use it the more benefit you get out of it.

intro music. Never ever use a tune used in the some of the more famous stealther vids. Intro was exactly the same as infamous melee ranger vid on yank servers (gp3's). A good sign of quality is great tunes that you like and show your musical taste. thats a golden rule.

variety. I personally like to see a whole host of opponents in vids, like lots of varierty. there was a slight feeling of repeatition fighting stealther after stealther after stealter, that end up with you back pedaling and applying timers if necessary. get a few mage fights which require u to play completly, get some fights with tics, and vamps, and champs, frairs, vw's, anything that can give varierty. (definetly put some mage ownage in there)

this is being completely over critical though it was good. im being over critical because I think with a few minor tweaks and a couple of more RR's you could make like a vid that was real top banana, the potential is definetly there.

you "have" to use timers with your class (trust me i know), but you need to dull down the use of them, or use them reactivly to counter other OP things if you want more credit.

I got a feeling theres more to come from you and vatech part II will be leet specially when you like getting into rr7-rr8 territory. thanks for making

Finally got it down.. Well worth wait.. Nice to see some of ya own deaths...lots of interesting fights... each fight unique... The paladin that broke off to let you kill the scout amused me

You do know your CW bow has an end charge.. You seem to end up out of end and I never see you use your CW bow charge....perhaps always down...

Anyway thx for taking time to do it
