Hi

i was just checking that my parents pc should be able to play divx movies without jerking,

its a PIII 700 with 512 pc133 ram in it, a geforce 2 mx

when trying to play movies it jerks about alot and is unwatchable.

just wanted to know if its should be able to play them fine

Minimum Requirements are listed as:

Windows

Windows 98 or higher
Pentium II 450 processor or equivalent
64 MB or more of RAM
8 MB or higher video card
Minimum 24-bit color when using Windows Media Player
DirectX 7 or higher is suggested for best video performance

At 640x480 full screen video although its worth taking notice that this was with lowest levels selected.

What player are you using?

Not exactly the same problem as yours but when playing DVD's I've noticed some really slight jerking in WMP and Power DVD.

BS player is the best player I've found so far. Might not solve your prob but is worth a try.
