Mousewheel not working

I got a usb mouseman wheel but i can't get quake 3 to bind anything to it - tried setup in game and also MWHEELUP and MWHEELDOWN in config but still does not work - using latest drivers can any1 help pls.... works fine in other software as assigned it as autoscroll

I'm not sure but does your weapon change when you roll up or down? Mine does and the view zooms in if you press the wheel down?

bind MOUSE1 "+attack"
bind MOUSE2 "+forward"
bind MOUSE3 "weapon 5"
bind MWHEELDOWN "weapprev"
bind MWHEELUP "weapnext"

on a kensington usb mouse

it doesnt event detect it if i want to bind it in the setup/controll menu - think i'll have to email logitech and ask them to sort it out thx for the replies

it sounds like you need a patch for the registry
i had the same problem with a logitech mouse.
Go to the logitech site and d/load the patch
