mouse problems

Hi all,

I have annoying problems with my mice I'd appreciate help with. After a few minutes playing offline with bots my second mouse button acts like it is pressed, even though it is not. The button status simply reverses. Sometimes this happens to the first mouse button. I can't play that way.

It does not matter if the logitech mouse is installed at the usb or ps/2 port, both times tried the default MS Windows 2000 drivers. The Microsoft Intellimouse behaves the same way even with additional Intellieye drivers, so this leads me to a motherboard or game bug. I use an Asus A7V133 Athlon board and have patched the game up to 22228.

Any suggestions?

Yeah I had the same thing but was playing online at the time, happened after about 20/30 minutes and had to totally quit T2 to get rid of the problem. However it has not happened again so can't be much help

Using bog standard microsoft 2 button + wheel mouse with ball and win98 1st ED.

that happened to me in tribes1 with the fire button, but it usually stopped when i held it down, it usually brought about hillariuos consequences.

i had a similar problem when playin CS with a ms intellimouse optical. pressin the left or right shift key seemed to sort it - god knows why.

mouse problems workaround

Hi all,

thanks to The Werewolf who lead me to this, I have a workaround to share with you ;-)

I now have the following lines in my new autoexec.cs:

moveMap.bindCmd(keyboard, "f12", "", "mousejet();");
moveMap.bindCmd(keyboard, "f11", "", "mousefire();");

So whenever the bug bites me I hit the appropriate function key and go on playing.

You think you have it bad???
I was in a midle of a CS clan game and my mouse locked up for about 2 mins. If that wasn't enough 5mins later, in a midle of a massive frag-fest, it decided that it wasn't going to let me turn left! I was having to spin 360 to the right just to shot ppl to the left of me!
