I'm sure they want Essien, but his contract with Chelsea isn't running out in the near future afaik. It is therefore very unlikely, unless they're bringing lots of $$ on the table

I think they're going for another striker - a big name to support Zlatan up front. Chrespo isn't getting younger, Cruz isn't stable and Suazo.. well, I honestly don't know much about him.
