ewo lads and non-lads,

just a wee thread to brag my arse off as some of you know I pretend to be an avid mtb person. I'm planning on upgrading my bike to something new.
I was going to get this, but as Specialized Europe seem to have failed to distribute enough bikes to their dealers (I've emailed them in a vein hope of getting that sj comp from a hidden source) I think I'm going to get this -a nice affordable bergwerk. the only affordable bergwerk tbh, but nice enough

They make pretty good bikes in comparison to some i've seen and ridden.

Thats my bike, only its in Red, not White. Its pretty darn good, and I got it at a slight discount. The only thing I don't like is the routing of the gear cables, they don't let me put a crud catcher on.

tdc in triple post shocker. well someone has to do non-football related posts

taken the bike on it's initial shakedown ride. two hours of forest paths and climbs. managed to look like an arse and fall over due to an spd not unlocking in time heh. also fell (gently) twice more with steering miscalculations on steep climbs. the bergwerk has a large turning circle (that's what it feels like at least) compared to the old specialized I had, or perhaps I'm just getting used to the new fork and the big schwalbe wheels.
other than that I put my old bodygeometry saddle back on. gel goodness compared to that nitrox's steel-hammer-to-the-japs feel. perhaps I'll swap it back in the future.
the disks are now fully broke in (heh), and the stopping power they have is enormous! wow! anyway, I'll keep you informed

that trek looks nice. a mate's gone and gotten himself a '6700 to ride and my mbt mate Max has recently bought a JanJansen. hehe I've already got a list of things I want to upgrade on the bergwerk
