Personally I'm thinking we will see a LOT of Goblin Squig Herders - unless Mythic have really nerfed them they should be about the strongest soloer in PvE and probably pretty strong in Pvp with the ability to deliver both ranged and close combat dps.

Anyone spotted any other likely flavour of the months?

Chaos mage will be popular for the flying disk :)

I suppose but its a big floaty target in pvp - "hey look - floaty disk!" - "quick Kill it - its floaty!"

Dunno how usefull it'll be in pve - depends how they balance it.

I will probably do the same in WAR as I did in DAoC I'll pick a class and stick with it for as long as I can bare, I had the misfortune of picking the earth wizard and leveled it to 50 before they gave them dots, base line ice nuke anyone. And yes I was the first and only earth wizard to hit lvl 50 for ages until Rumble came along. :p

This time I am thinking of returning to the long range dps, simply for keep warefare (used to hate having nothing to do as a melee class), but I am interested to see how healers work with there 'must be in combat' style. So one of those two arctypes I think.

like daoc, i am sure FOTM class/groups will be happening, and changing every patch, and lots of whines on forums :)

With collision detection, i am thinking a tank would be great fun for blocking players while your DPS dishes out.
That said be nice to be a caster and not loser LOS by having melee chars walk through you... if i had beta i could actually decide! :)

I think the most populous class will be Squig Herder, followed by the Chaos Marauder.

Personally i'm going Dwarf Engineer.

Imo most popular classes will be witch elf and shadow warrior, followed by engineer and witch hunter.

Personally im going to stick with warrior priest as a main and probably roll black orc or choppa to as an alt.

I personally fancy playing either a bright wizard or the rune dwarf - both appeal to me but if it looks like order is overpopulated I'll go destruction.

My current guess is that Destruction will be the more popular side though.

Surprised that none have mentioned the Shaman...

Well A its a healer so no chance it will be the most popular and B juggling the Waaagh looks fiddly - I'd say it will be the least played greenskin class actually.

Healer? That thingy had all forms of healing, damage and cc (own sprint buff?) spells last time I've played it.

obviously it will if ur gonna chose whatever it is that the most OP in pvp at the moment......

just dont cry when it gets nerfed if you DO choose a OP class for pvp :)

best just to stick with a class and not care if its the best of the best in pvp, because theres a 100% chance that the best pvp class WILL get nerfed. were talking Mythic here after all, they cant fix a class properly even if it would save their life :)

You are undoubtably right - I expect casters to dominate initially then get nerfed :p

Very good perspective,

Agreed....but a bit annoyed because squig herders are the only archer class (and pet)...would love to play it (my new hunter) but oh well :twak:

So all the more reason to go an OP pvp class: Mythic will not nerf it, but probably just give it love. Like they did with Minstrels, Scouts and Infils.

Witch elves will likely be popular. Elf+rogue w/o stealth, no shortage of people going for that :p

If people knew what i knew about <piip> then everyone would roll one. The overpowered <piip>, and the fun of <piip> combined with <piip> just make it the best class!! :)
