Most fun day for me in thidranki today!

Yea, this evenings fighting in Thidranki have been so great... Really really funny to see many hibs around at same place... I guess you were trying to take the keep, but it seems as both mids and albs didn't like that, so we kind of fought you back .

Please do more stuff like that, it brings daoc to such a different level of fun .

Cheers to all the Hibs that showed up today, salute to all I've killed today, and thanks for all the curtseys and salutes I've gotten today while I've been eating dirt...

And to that other middie hunter, name began with B.. I WILL get you. You dont rez-kill me and live to tell the tale.. I may have died three times trying to PA you but.. thats not the point.

Oh, and to that poor widdle Kobold healer.. dont hate me ^_^

I've been around in BG for quite along time now, starting to get a hang of how to next killed too easy.... but, I can't stay alive forever hehe

Aye, that other hunter, I know who you mean, but I can't recall the full name of him :/. Anyway, lets hope Hibs show themself alot today too, then it surely will make my day!

very fun indeed. Some things pisses me off a bit, like lurikeen nightshades trying to backstab you INSTANTLY after a res ...

I got the last laugh tho, as he missed the backstab and hit me with his off-hand weap for some silly poison-damage (easy enough to cure). How can you fail to kill someone with 1HP ... or why do you even try?!

Ohwell, Quark (or whatever yer name is) - next time you'll be the one ressed, and I won't miss my attack on you. After all, I'm not totally gimped

Anyways...

I really enjoy the fights we have in Thid! Yesterday was a looong night with albs, hib and mids fighting it out constantly. Hats off to most of you.

[EDIT] To clarify. This lil lurikeen NS was standing just next to the resser when he ressed me, and the second I accepted he attacked. It could not have been a mistake from him thinking I was just injured. But hey, I know all things are 'legal' in the BG's. Don't complain when you get res-killed yourself tho - I keep the names close

Yep all things are legal in the battlegrounds, but I'm a little disappointed in Quark (at least based on this account) for several reasons:

1) He was dumb - going for poor little res-sick you meant he was ignoring a cleric or friar standing right next to you who WASN'T res-sick and either class can whip a nightshade who surrenders the initiative to them.

2) He wasn't going to gain any realm points for the kill anyway, and there must have been more important targets to take out tactically - starting with said resser...

3) I like to think we Hibernians have a rep for fighting well and honourably, and it saddens me to see that tarnished. There's a realm that seems to have more than it's share of rez-killers and corpse-jumpers/dancers on this server (hint: trolls and kobolds) and I'd hate to see get as little respect from our opponents as I hold for those who do such things. And my apologies to those Mids who DO fight well and honourably - you must be as embarassed by the honourless fools in your realm as the rest of us are.

don't get me wrong - all realms have their 'bad apples'. I see albs running around laughing at every corpse they see, witch I also think is .. well, kind of lame to be honest.

However, I will point fingers and laugh or cry at people behaving like lil Quark. That was just plain low. It was not that I was res-sick, such things happen. But he thought it correct to try and backstab me, almost WHILE I was being ressed. I didn't even get a chance to sit down and heal for 2 seconds. He knew he would die to the cleric (and 2 infs standing around) so why even bother .. well, just to be mean/annoying as I see it.

As I said tho, there are rotten people in all realms. Seen skalds doing the same thing with their instas - and might I say with much better results <laugh>.

Hibbies ARE known to play fair, honorable and to be fun opponents. I get sad everytime you lil treelovers pull guards with your underhill friends tho (happened 4 times yesterday and lead to hib wipeout all 4 times) <sobs> Keep those things close to you!

Aye, Quark got what had had coming to him though.. I chased after him later, snare poisoned, then me, 3 other infs, and a paladin showed him the true meaning of gank. Heh.

On corpse dancing/lauging - it really doesnt bother me, and I really didnt think it was looked down upon so sternly.

If a tank tries to rush our healers and fails miserably, I'll point and laugh at him. If a guy tried to sneak up on me and fails, I may well dance upon his beaten corpse. I dont mean any offence - its just in jest. Its nice because when some dwarf sits on my head, I get an enjoyable feeling of "HAH! I'll get you next time..".. its part of the game IMO.

Like.. yesterday, there was one firby hib healer, wearing brown armour and a green cloak - name began with P.. and I tried and failed to kill him like.. 3 times. When the hibs got to our door the first time and started whacking, I snuck in and tried to take him out - and lo, I forgot poison. My own fault, and he survived and I died. By our gate - giving me a great view of the little siege attempt they did. And as a nice little retort, said firby healer sat on my head while resting for the rest of their seige. I didnt get offended, it just nocked him up a couple of places in the "arteries to be removed" hotlist.

only resser ill ever try to kill is a bard due to their armour. as for killing ress sick people, sure i do it on things like keepraids, you have to keep their healers under pressure to rezz so they cant AoE mezz everyone, its all tactics im afraid

You definitely need to keep their healers suppressed, I guess it's a matter of how (I prefer to take a more... permanent approach to depleting their mana). I probably wouldn't go for a rez-kill myself, reason being that the guy who's just been rezzed is already combat ineffective so I might as well give the healer some variety in who he raises. Enemy rezzers are quite high on my target list because taking them out is the key to defeating the force as a whole. Each to their own code of honour.

As for corpse-dancing... I'm a bit of an old-fashioned sportsman, and I feel the need to show respect to a worthy opponent - bowing is a way of saying good game, well played (I'd bow to the guy who's taken me down if I wasn't busy chewing turf at that point). Dancing/laughing strikes me as disrespectful, but I don't get really bent out of shape about it.

Everytime I kill someone, i try to /bow /curtsey /salute, if i can.....but most often i have to run like a bastard to get away from the big enemy group... and if someone laughs at my corpse, or dance on it..... i get real mad, that guy is my next target to kill lol
