most confusing football league

I remember reading in Four Four Two (about 7 years ago) about a football league that had stupidly confusing rules. It was something like the Norwegian football league I think?

Does anyone know which league this is? Trying to find the article to show someone at work.

Brazil's are pretty weird I seem to recall

The Belgian Pro League is pretty weird. They play a regular season and then split into groups depending on where they finished and have a bunch of playoff phases afterwards. Oldish article but I think it's still how it works. And another, from the Americans (who are no strangers to weird play-off systems), no less.
