More Replay features in FPS?

Hiya

I was thinkin... have any of you played rainbox six rouge spear...

good game but at the end of each level you can watch your mission with the replay mode... so this must obviously be easy enuff to do in games... it is hilarious watching yourself working through a mission and i think of you could make more cinematic angles for playback it could be the reward of your gameplay to sitback at the end of a mission and watch your progress or show it to your mates a couple of days later if you did some cool stuff... you get what im trying to say?

maybe a bit more tricky to record multiplayer? im not sure im just a gamer but can u imagine being able to save a replay of a BIG cs match? then ppl could simply download it and watch it like TV...

perhaps even director type editing bits! ok im getting carried away... i want a big response of this i hope alot of u feel the same...

think car games how nice is it to watch how you pulled off that corner etc...?

You could always record a demo, although the playback is a bit dodgy at the moment.
But it wont let you edit a good video at the end of it unless you played as spectator and kept switching between players.
You never know with the new multicast spectator all this may be a bit more feasible.

Err yeah this should all be possible with teh HL multicast spectator mode, some ones already thought of all this. But nice long post anyway

record a demo like this:

type in console: recorddemo "demoname"
to stop demo type: stop

to play back demo type in console: playdemo "demoname"



I did that off my head and some of those commands might be wrong. Pls correct me if so
