I have got a monitor that has BNC connections.

Should I use them (If so why) instead of standard connection??

Thanks

FS Perplex, this is *fine* in the general forum... sheesh...

ms998 - BNC connections generally give a better signal than the standard monitor connection (the name of which I forget) because the cables for the seperate components (R/G/B) are shielded from each other. You'll barely notice the difference though unless you've got a very good monitor (which is probably if it has BNC connectors) and a top notch RAMDAC on the vidcard (Matrox cards are generally good for high-quality RAMDAC's).

But all in all, yes, if you've got BNC connectors and a BNC cable do use them, but, as I said, unless you have top quality gear it's unlikely to be worth your while to fork out any extra money on a BNC cable unless you already have one.
