Money vs. Seals

I am considering taking seals as payment for weapons instead of money. Now I am wondering what the different seals could roughly equal to in gold. Any suggestions? As most people tend to stack their seals, this may well be impractical, but I'd still like to hear some views.

5g per emerald seal,
10g per saph seal
15-20g per diamond seal

Lets say it takes 20 Diamond seals to buy a 16.2 dps weapon - how much would it cost you to make it? say 400g?

400/20 = 20g

Emerald seal: 1g
Sapphire seal: 3g
Diamond seal: 10g

Sounds more reasonable. If the first suggestion was taken into use nobody would pay Hendrick money anymore

I heard somewhere that if you buy weapons for diamond seals, you can salvage them, make trinkets of the materials (brackets etc) and sel those to merchant, you can get 12.5 gold per diamond seal. Not sure though, and I dunno how much emerald and saphire seals would yield. But I think it's worth testing, unfortunately I don't have the trade skills required for it

Mikal: there is something wrong with the salvage values in this patch, so you only get about 1/3 of the asterite you are "supposed" to get (in next patch it will be about 16g pr diamond)

Dont... take... seals... You get every item you want from DF in 3-4 hours of seal farming Its so stupid... I aint buyin shit from ya if take only seals Already got every trinket I want from DF.

Why would a crafter not bye diamond seals for 10g a piece when with salsvge he can make 6g on each, or rather u can in 1.50.

i paid 50G a diamond seal

considering you can buy a 16.1 dps weapon with not to bad stats for 15 seals 10 G is not viable

1 reason gentry, it's alot of work

22 seals salvages to 133 bars of asterite, that means the crafter has to take trips to DF, then to a forge, there sit and craft x timex 65 trinkets, and sell those

now imagine a high quality crafted weapon for 660g = 66 diamond seals

10-30 minutes thats trip to df and back to forge
60 minutes making and selling ~200 trinkets
10-30 minutes getting back to whatever he was doing before

(for that the crafter would make a profit of 420g)

I sold a load of sapphire seals for 10g each, so I'm not sure the original values aren't about right.

The stuff from DF (weapons/shields) is JUNK if it didnt come of legion or beliathen.

If it wasnt for the fact i ran around with Borrowed seals from vayasen i'd sell them to you asap

if any one is interested i have 7 dimond seals given to me - useless to me..

But what i do need is saphire seals would anyone like to swap a nice fair amout so i can get - 1 maybe 2 bracers with them
