Use your brain just a wee bit, when the game was made (soon 4 years ago) the 27 positive effects looked like an impossible goal to reach(it was aswell) but now with ToA, RA's etc. that is quite easy reachable. Yes it needs a fix but it wasn't a problem when the game was released.

I thought it kinda fun \o/, and Im pretty sure we won anyhow. And Im pretty sure the timer didn't reset back then since you complained about trying to bash it off several timed during the same fight.
And no it wasn't 1½ hours but it was a pretty okish long fight.
Can be kinda irritating on a savage as well when you try to use your self buffs and they won't fire since you got too many effects :/ (But at least then you were ungrapplable, making it oh so legitimate exploiting imo)

It may have been impossible to reach but WHY hard code such a limit?

It is just as bad as the 640k barrier that MS DOS brought.
And the reason has always been the same, "ohh more then that is never needed"

And yet, when they released TOA they knew they put more effects into the game.
(or did all the new stuff just slip in unnoticed? Oups what have we here, 20 new spells?)

And I can bet that the source after almost 4 years of messing looks like a
large bowl of spagetti. I even think thats why this particular bug was not
solved when TOA was first released. All tangled up on 3000 places.

Thats atleast what my early programs looked like when I started modifying
them to much. It was actually better to just start over.

I think Mythic's idea of ToA was that you should get 1-2 artifacts then be done with it, and then that max buff thing wouldt be reachable anyways, but as we all know most run around with 8 artifacts anyways :p

But I agree, it should be increased.

Mythic's idea of ToA is that everyone should get all artifacts they can get on all theyr toons as to create as large a timesink as possible (IE to make more money). And overlooking the effect max is not the greatest of errors, even though a very annoying one. I feel grapple and zephyr are more retarded effects of ToA then reaching effect max.
