ML8 Zergsteps - Saturday 2nd May - 2pm

Agne can be rebuilt. We have the technology! (aka "If this is May, we must be in Aerus")

Will be running this on Saturday afternoon. Anyone 40+ can come and join us, so if you are curious to see some of the higher level ML trials, feel free to come along and help. Also a great opportunity to be the first person on the server with a Talos trophy!

Date: Saturday 2nd May

Time: 2pm for 2:30 departure (UK local time)

Place: Aerus Haven

Prerequisites: None, anyone 40+ is welcome to join the raid. If you would like to get credit for 8.10, then you will need to have completed 8.4, 8.7, and 8.9 before the raid. Previous to 1.68, 8.5 was also a group step, but assuming that GOA do successfully patch next week as planned, this will become a battlegroup step. (I am going to assume this will be the case.)

Anything else: Bring legendary/sun weapons if you have them. Some of the trial monsters are resistant to melee.

What about the trophy?: Yup, according to the patch notes, the coming patch will introduce trophy remains for the x.10 mobs. In this case, that means Talos. Gawp at it here: http://daoc-trophy-mobs.com/mob/talos.html

Loot: Usual rules, which means: separate lottos for keys, scrolls, and drops (ie. MP loot, legendary components, trophy remains). No more than one drop per person (but you can get a drop and still roll for scrolls and keys). Anyone can roll for anything.

I know I'm lost in time and space at the moment; but isn't Saturday the 1st of May, not the 2nd?

Probably best to clarify if Saturday or Sunday is meant (or point out that I'm wrong!) - and I do know of at least a couple of people wanting to do ML8 especially :)

<facepalm>

You're right, this will be Saturday 1st May.

The reason it isn't evening is that I am not entirely sure how long it will take, and I need to be awake Sunday. (Seen worrying reports about how long people take on Talos - now I expect we'll have a decent zerg so that won't be a problem but since I can't guarantee it ... ) Sorry about that.

Well, I am prepared to shift to the evening, but this is going to get confusing because of not having any editing rights on the boards.

Anyway, will ask mods nicely and see what we can do.

UPDATED TIMES:

Date: Saturday 1st May

Time: 6:30 pm meet (UK time) for 7pm depart

Place: Aerus Haven

Can you let people know.

Thanks everyone for coming along (I counted about 90 in the battlegroup when we left Aerus Haven and there might have been a few more joined later), and given all the extra demands on the system due to lag, various other zones crashing, and 90 people in the same place, was pretty good going to kill Talos (twice, even).

Thanks due to:
Shizkebab for donating centaur heads
Thya for donating a scrying stone

And most of all to Yussef and TLW for donating a second set of Agne pieces, which meant that we could repeat 8.10 for those who went ld for the first run.

<salute>
