i wanna organize a ml5 raid, i did some recherge about it, but never done it myself, or leaded an other ml, so hoping some1 could help me with this.

i read in VoS that ya can do 5.1- to 5.10 in 3 hours, as 5.1-5.9 are al group steps, whe do 'm all at once, hope whe can get 2 fgs, so whe can do 5.10

5.1 - 5.8 are group steps and need to be done *LONG* before the raid

The dungeons can be a bit buggy with certain steps not re-popping
for AGES.

I'd suggest if you want to organise an ML5 raid and want to give people
sufficient time to do the pre-steps before the raid - you should plan it
for 2-3 weeks from now. As the at most (if done properly) you might get
2 groups able to complete the pre steps on any given night

To be successful it would be advisable to have at least 1 Thuerg and 1
PBAoE in your team, 2 Clerics would be handy as there can be a lot of
interrupts amongst the steps. Have an ungrouped bot handy and away
from the combat to backup rezz.

One trick we've used in the past is to get an ungrouped Minstrel to pop
SoS and run the passages between each step, and sprint - he will pull
all the aggro, whilst your team (with at least caster speed) follows in his
wake without having to fight your way through the corridors (which is
VERY time consuming and boring). Then when the mobs disperse - rezz
the Minstrel-suicide bot.

After all that - if we can do the pre-steps in time, TIW should be able
to put out 1-2 fg for a late Jan ML5 raid.

i read in VoS the re-pops are link'd to the other side, so if one mob still stands there, the ml step on the other side will not repop. thats why i sujested to do with 2 ftg, so 1 group take 1 side and the other, the other side, so if not all are slain in the past, one of the group comes to that mob and slay it, so it whould repop

right signing out then.... doing all the pre's with this ToA lag is a bitch and since i already have them...

seriously its smart to just do pre's saturday and do the BG raid somewhere in the mid week or so.

(oh and trust me it will take more than 3 hours especially if you need to do the encounters multiple times because you'll have more than 2FG's of people not to mention the LD's)

i did pre's yesterday night and it took us 5 hours to do em with 1 good FG with FoP/BB

the lag generally isnt too bad in the dungeons of ToA - we did ml5 steps in alliance a few weeks ago and was getting 10-20 sec lag outside and not a great deal inside (well except me crashing to desktop a few times ) problem is getting in the dungeon - easy for ML5 one but try geting inside DV with this lag

Right! Lag isn't too bad inside Ma'ati...

But two mass LD's on the server in the middle of encounters, LD death, coming back from stygia twice and having to fight your way through the all the red/purple mobs will do the trick.

In a perfect world, we would have done presteps in 2 hours, but GOA/Opentransit and Mythic are far from making DAoC a perfect world.

We had fun tho... and I hope you guys do too
